Tye Blue is a producer, director, & writer who deeply values thoughtfulness, humility, clarity, objectivity, and – most importantly – levity. He's best known as the Co-Author and Director of the 2023 Lucille Lortel Award-winning Off-Broadway musical TITANIQUE, which received 2023 Drama Desk, Drama League, & Outer Critics Circle Nominations as well. He served 4 seasons on the EMMY Award-winning casting team of RuPAUL'S DRAG RACE; other TV credits include Bravo's PROJECT RUNWAY, Netflix's NAILED IT!, SAY I DO!, Snoop Dogg’s JOKER’S WILD, and many others. His career is rooted in decades of theatre and concert work, both behind the scenes and onstage. In Los Angeles, he co-created and directed the hit musical parodies of MEAN GURLZ, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, TROOP BEVERLY HILLS, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, & HOCUS POCUS at Hollywood’s Rockwell Table & Stage. As a theatre director, his credits include SPRING AWAKENING, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, ALTAR BOYZ, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, ONE NATION UNDER, HUNNY BUNNY HOT BOX, BEYOND THERAPY, & POPCORN. In the concert space, Tye conceived and produced Rumer Willis’ cabaret debut at The Cafe Carlyle and its subsequent national tour dubbed THE OVER THE LOVE TOUR. Other concert work includes AGT star Brian Justin Crum's SOMEBODY TO LOVE, the Triple Bill series in LA, the long-running RAINBOW ON THE GREEN Annual Pride concert in Houston, and Nickelodeon/Dora the Explorer star Isabela Moner’s LA concert debut. As the Associate Producer of the Los Angeles concert series FOR THE RECORD: Live!, Tye managed its Baz, Tarantino, John Hughes, & Zemeckis shows in Hollywood, Palm Springs, and at the Montreal Jazz Festival. He studied voice and saxophone at Berklee College of Music, theatre at Sam Houston State University, and worked for many years touring in Broadway musicals throughout the globe and later released his EP, "Here."
